Project Manager
Overall responsibility for project management, communication, reporting and delivery of an enterprise reporting initiative.
- Establish close working relationship with project sponsor and leadership; manage all components of the project teams including business, corporate functions, technology functions, vendor resources etc.
- Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations
- Responsible for defining and managing project deliverables, teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts.
- Identify resource needs, performs quality reviews, and mitigate risk
- Escalate functional quality and timeline issues. This includes both internal resources as well as external vendor management.
- Responsible for project business case evaluation; proposal creation and sizing/budget estimation as well as ongoing financial management of the project (forecast/actual reporting)
- Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise and vendors that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed to ensure successful project implementation.
- Design, implement, evaluate and audit project management processes and templates
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree
- 5+ years experience in project management processes, methodologies and tools, resource and changes management practices and techniques or other directly related experience
- 2+ years experience with enterprise-class project management at a Fortune 500 scale corporation or equivalent public sector organization
- Experience working on projects in a matrix environment with cross functional team representation
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements
- Working knowledge of project management, typically for a specific department, including methodology, processes, tools, scope management, financial tracking, scheduling and resource management
- Experience in solution identification and assessment, vendor selection, and creation of business and financial case
- Must have solid leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues
- Ability to meet deadlines, schedules and budgeted costs
- Solid negotiation and facilitation abilities
